Welcome to Absolute Yoga


ABSOLUTE YOGA offers a refuge from the daily challenges of life. Located in Woodbury, Long Island, our two beautiful, peaceful studios provide the perfect environment for the ultimate union of body and soul.

We have over 50 classes per week in a variety of yoga styles and levels from beginner yoga to an energetic, strengthening warm vinyasa yoga. We also offer kid’s, pre- and post-natal yoga (yogi baby), restorative yoga, yoga for MS, as well as mat pilates and barre classes. Our yoga instructors are all certified in different styles and schools of yoga, including Vinyasa, Iyengar, Ashtanga, Anusara™ and Prana Flow. They are committed to offering you expert guidance as you experience the benefits that yoga can bring to your every day life.

Our mission at ABSOLUTE YOGA is to make yoga readily accessible to every body, regardless of age, level or fitness ability. It is not necessary to be flexible or strong to begin a yoga practice; an open mind and a willingness to explore your experience is all that’s required. Yoga is an amazing journey of self-discovery. We encourage everyone to come and experience some of the incredible benefits of this 5,000 year old practice.

Join our monthly Yoga Book Club - Held on the 3rd Wednesday of the month at 12:30PM

Enjoy two of the activities that you love together. Combine your love of yoga and reading. Each month we have a 45-50 minute yoga class, followed by a book discussion about the book selected for that month, and lunch. The yoga class is a Level 1 class and the discussion is always fun and interesting.  We are always looking for new faces to join us and welcome newcomers at any time.  The more the merrier!!  If interested, please let Leslie know you will be attending. For the month of October, we will be meeting on Wednesday, October 26 to discuss It Ends with Us by Coleen Hoover.

Nine weekends that will enrich the rest of your life.  Melding dynamic vinyasa with precise alignment, Absolute Yoga's Refined Flow Teacher Training will enable students and aspiring teachers alike to explore a comprehensive, embodied practice whether they are looking to deepen their own personal yoga experience or guide others in theirs. The Refined Flow approach focuses on proper alignment of asanas (postures), meditation and pranayama, with in-depth studies in anatomy and physiology as they relate to yoga, philosophy, teaching skills and the business of yoga.

Our mission with the Absolute Yoga Refined Flow Teacher Training Program is to guide you on a journey to deepen your own practice and knowledge of yourself, while empowering you to safely teach and inspire others to live their most vibrant, joyful lives. It is our firm belief that happy, healthy people are the only people who can help build a happy, healthy world. This is the work of being a teacher. "Mala & Meditation" Mala-Making Workshop with Maria Renna • Sun, Oct 30 at 1:00 pm - 4:00 pm
Come connect with your inner peace and creativity while creating a piece that is uniquely yours! A mala (mala simply means “garland” in Sanskrit) is a meditation tool which has been used for centuries. Worn, it is a beautiful representation of your yoga or meditation practice. In this work-shop, we will explore the use of malas and mantra in focusing the mind during meditation. Gentle movements will prepare us to sit and string our malas. During our meditation, and while creating, we will imbue each creation with our own special, personal intentions. The class will begin and end with a short meditation and close with a delicious savasana.

Join Elyce and Leslie for a free-flowing deeply meditative practice on the eve of the new moon. This is a time to go inward: days are getting shorter and colder and the need for our hearts to get bigger and brighter is imperative. Share sacred space as we open our minds, broaden our perspectives and cultivate inner peace in a practice culled from 21 days traveling in India. We’ll be joined by special guest musicians to make the practice richer and sweeter!!

In this two hour workshop, you will take away practical tools to help you better manage anxiety and stress. We will practice specific pranayama (breath) techniques, yoga asanas (poses) and yoga nidra (deep relaxation) designed to decrease the stress response.
