ABSOLUTE BEGINNER SERIES- Sessions beginning in October
Absolute Beginner Series is an ideal way to kick off your yoga practice
if you have never taken a yoga class or have little experience
with yoga and what it is about. A new session will begin at the end of October.
The 8 week sessions starts Sunday, October 20 at 10:30AM and Tuesday,
October 29 at 6:00PM. The cost per 8 week session is $144.00. If you
register for the Sunday class and are unable to attend that week, you
may attend the Tuesday class, or vice versa, but otherwise it is
preferred that you stay with the class you signed up for as the
instructors are different and curriculum may be offered differently.

WEEKLY REIKI CIRCLES WITH KRISTEN ORSINI and DAWN PEER ~ Tuesday at 7:30PM and Wednesday at 11am ~ $20 investment. Starting October 15. Reiki is a hands-on healing modality that supports and works with the body's energy or chi to balance itself towards better wellness. Reiki has many potential health benefits including stress relief, pain management, injury recovery assistance, as well as bringing an overall sense of peace. It also works well in conjunction with other wellness practices to support overall healing. Reiki practitioners
welcome. Kristen and Dawn are also available for private Reiki sessions at Absolute Yoga or your home. A 55 minute private Reiki session is $80.
YOGA BOOK CLUB 3rd Thursday of the month at 11:30 for yoga, book discussion and lunch.

and reading. Each month we will have a 45-50 minute Level 1 yoga class,
followed by a book discussion about the current fiction or non-fiction
book selected for that month, and lunch. For the month of October we are
reading "The LowLand" byJhumpa Lahiri. We welcome newcomers

Mysore Ashtanga Classes with Sara Intonato Monday-Friday from 6-9am.
The Mysore Ashtanga classes are held Monday - Thursday from 6-9am and a Led Primary Series class will be held on Friday from 6-7:30am. There are no Ashtanga classes on new and full moon days. The Ashtanga Yoga method is built around the ‘Mysore Style’ class, so
named because yoga was taught this way by Sri K. Pattabhi Jois, in
Mysore, India, and continues to be taught this way in traditional
Ashtanga Yoga schools around the world. In Mysore Class, the student is
taught a sequence of postures through one-on-one instruction. The
correct movements, breathing, and other aspects of the practice are
learned gradually, in a step-by-step process accessible to anyone. This
method allows each student time to practice and memorize what they have
learned before adding more, encouraging commitment and accountability.
Students are able to practice independently and at their own pace while
surrounded by the energy and inspiration of other students in the room.
The teacher is able to work with each student individually, which allows
the practitioner to develop a deeply trusting relationship with their
teacher. This unique setting allows beginners to move slowly and
progress only when their body and mind are ready, as opposed to "keeping
pace" with a large group. It also provides committed practitioners with
a forum for learning advanced postures with the one-on-one guidance
required to do them safely and accurately. It is appropriate for all
levels of practitioners. There are no prerequisites, other than the
willingness to practice.

STEP UP TO THE BARRE CLASSES

the grace, tone, strength and endurance that only a ballet barre class
can offer. "Step Up to the Barre" is a full body conditioning class
incorporating ballet, yoga, pilates and resistance training. This class
will strengthen and stretch all major muscle groups in the body
utilizing controlled movements that are focused, effective and safe.
Results of barre classes include:
core strength and tone
a lifted, tighter seat
long, lean thighs and calves
greater range of motion/endurance
improved posture and body alignment
fluidity of body movements
